One crazy adventure

another great day for me again! i went down the the rocky mountains today and it was spectacular! the view is so beautiful. i've been looking forward to this for a long long time even before i was here! was just asking Ray (my student advisor) about the rockies last week and it is such a coincidence that he was going to bring some of his ecology students there today.

it was a 2 hours drive from school. half way on the road, you could already see the mountain range. they looked so near, but actually its still very far away!

unfortunately, we did not finsh to the top. we were only half an hour away from the peak, but the snow was up to our knees then. someone measured and it was 67cm from the ground.. and its not even winter yet! quiet disappointed cos we could have seen the whole view of the mountains at the peak and by then we have already climbed for 2 and a half hours. what a waste!

my camera ran out of battery so i didnt take many pictures. i've got more in my lomo camera. hopefully those shots are better. very difficult to capture the mountain range cos the clouds were blocking them. my roomies said that they will take me to Banff one day. heard the view of the rockies is way nicer there! looking forward to my next trip (:
